Strong skills required in change management, problem solving, communication, customer orientation, product technology, global business perspective, personal effectiveness, project management, team skills and quality. Requires proficiency in the use of MS Word, Excel, Oracle NSR, Oracle BOM, Oracle ECO, Fracas, and PDM. - BS level degree in an engineering discipline, and - 8+ years experience in a related engineering discipline, or equivalent.
Job Specific Knowledge & Experience: This position is in the Solar Business Group
The successful candidate will work in the Solar Business Group, managing OEM equipment suppliers as a tool owner.
The candidate must have a proven record of writing requirements and specifications, managing suppliers to deliver to the requirements, engineering problem solving, and general knowledge of electrical, mechanical, systems, and process engineering.
Additionally, the candidate must have experience integrating a tool into an equipment set or installing equipment into a manufacturing environment.
As a tool owner in the Solar Business Group, the successful candidate will work in a fast-paced, dynamic, and multidisciplinary environment.
Responsibilities:
Position duties for the engineering structure are determined along functional lines and usually vary according to the specific discipline of the incumbent, and may include the following: Designs, develops, modifies and/or evaluates parts, components, circuitry, modules, and/or [sub]systems for use in/with Applied products. Develops design methods and parameters, project methodology and/or project proposals. Develops and uses test procedures. Participates in the preparation of concept and feasibility studies. Gathers operational and test data and evaluates results. Participates in the fabrication of product prototypes. Evaluates of work methods, procedures and policies; establishes and determines new/revised work methods for the functional group. Performs other duties as assigned. Duties will vary according to the project in progress and/or the specific goals of the department in which the incumbent works. Provides guidance and technical assistance to lower level personnel.
