Responsibilities
- Provides information on all aspects of configuration and manufacturing of the project.
- Identifies threats to, and deviations from project schedule.
- Takes corrective action before adverse impact.
- Creates Project Package, ensures product is manufacturable, and all tasks are assigned.
- Makes commitments for Master Schedule.
- Coordinates resolution of Quality Assurance issues.
- With guidance from Project Manager IV, develops and implements business processes to standardize and improve the division’s effectiveness.
- Responsible for training/leading Project Manager I’s.
Required Knowledge and Experience
- Skills and abilities to perform job: advanced analytical skills; strong oral and written communication skills; strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills; strong computer literacy skills; detail oriented; skilled at exercising mature judgment; ability to work in a team; and ability to work independently and ability to act as mentor; ability to manage a team.
- Knowledge and skills typically acquired by a completed BS in Engineering or related technical discipline (or equivalent knowledge) or BA in Business and 5-7 years directly related experience.
- Preferred previous work experience: Direct project management experience.
Job Specific Knowledge and Experience
- Serve as focal and team member within Solar Operations.
- Assigned as contract specific owner to coordinate with BM on Configuration Worksheets, creation of NSRs, conduct CaRM and close all open issues prior to configured BOM uploaded.
- Manage ECO and external/internal change control management through CRF process.
- Establish up front milestone deliverables and communicate project package to FTP Installation Project Manager.
